God’s gifts…

When people read or hear the name of my business, Bozidar Photography, I usually receive a blank stare that silently pleads, “What?”. “What does that even say?” followed by “What does that even mean?” Well, be confused no more!

“Bozidar” is pronounced BO’-zhee-DAR. (Not exactly a scientific phonetical interpretation, but I hope you get the idea.) It means “gift from God” in the Serbian language. When I started my business, I knew that any success I might have would solely be a gift from Him…thus the name. But, you know, since then I have realized that the name also applies to what I photograph….people. Each individual person’s life is a gift from God, too. And, for each day I am given the blessing of documenting these beautiful lives in portraits, I will be especially grateful.

And, since this is a PHOTOGRAPHY blog, there should probably be a photo. So, here you go…

Miss Patricia’s Wintry Shoot (Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota family photographer)

If anyone can add a little sparkle to an otherwise dreary Minnesota winter day, it is Miss Patricia! The other day, we had an impromptu mini-shoot in the woods near my home, and she was such a good sport in the cold. See for yourself!

If anyone who is new to my blog (hey, I am even new to my blog) would like to inquire about portrait session details, please send me a quick note in the contact form. I would love to meet you! Also, find me on Facebook! Have a blessed day!

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge ~ “BLACK”

Here is my entry in this week’s photo challenge over at I Heart Faces. The theme is “black”. My senior model, Daniel, meets this week’s challenge beautifully. Thank you, Daniel, for being so chic in your cool black suit. And, another thank you to I Heart Faces for the challenge! Go to iheartfaces.com to see more photos featuring the color black.

Facing my fear…

I am here facing my fear. My fear of being exposed. My fear of being vulnerable. My fear of failure. I thank you for being here with me. May God bless you! And, may God help me as I do battle with my fear.
